Why this is not a cleaning job
CS is a fine crystalline powder, not a gas. It resists water, migrates through HVAC into rooms that were never entered, and re-aerosolizes for months when disturbed. Ventilating the building does not remove it.
The one question worth asking any contractor: do you remove contaminated porous material, or clean it in place? Removal is the difference between remediation and a job that fails two weeks later. We remove it.

Is my home safe after tear gas?
Not until it is decontaminated. CS residue re-aerosolizes when disturbed and causes ongoing respiratory and skin irritation, particularly for children. Airing out the building does not remove the powder.
Does insurance cover tear gas cleanup?
Usually yes, under the dwelling and contents provisions, even when the deployment related to another occupant. We document the loss for the carrier.
Can furniture and clothing be saved?
Some can be treated successfully. Heavily contaminated soft goods are often better documented as a contents loss for your claim, and we handle that documentation.
